After a month full of changes for the Verdant CS2 roster, we can now confirm a new addition to the roster. Mason “Vacancy” Haines joins the team as we maintain our commitment to having a strong UK core within the roster.

Mason joins having recently left Sprout Academy and spent a year on Team 7AM in 2022/23 where he competed in the European Pro League and finished 2nd at Epic 39. With all the upheaval in the CS roster of late, Verdant Head Coach Ciaran King has been hard at work identifying solutions to improve the roster going into 2024, he believes Vacancy is a great fit:

I'm so pleased to have Mason join the roster, he has tremendous quality as a player and as a person, he has fit into the team so well from the very first day and that's a testament to his professionalism and ability. I'm confident we will see a marked improvement in results with Mason's addition to the starting roster, I and the players are very glad to have him join. Welcome Mason.

Mason “Vacancy” Haines also shared his thoughts on joining both the organisation and roster itself:

I'm really excited to see what we can do with the organization's support. Everyone is great, and I'm looking forward to working with the team for some great results.

With Vacancy stepping in to take the place of Andrew “Wolfie” Allan, there is still work to be done to finalise the roster, both Ciaran and the team continue to be hard at work confirming the final piece to round out the roster. We hope to have further news on this shortly.
