We’re delighted to announce that Verdant was invited by the chairman, Jeff Simpkins, to join the UK Esports Team Committee (UKETC) in July 2024. Our position as a leading organisation in British Counter-Strike and Northern European League of Legends as well as our eco-conscious mentality brings a unique perspective that the UKETC was looking for.
The UKETC is a collective of UK-based esports teams that have come together to form a not-for-profit committee of like-minded individuals to progress and grow the UK esports industry and represent the voice of teams within wider industry discussions.
The committee is currently made up of 12 organisations:
- Endpoint
- Fnatic
- FUTWIZ
- GiantX
- Into The Breach Esports
- Resolve
- Manchester City Esports
- Method
- Noctem
- Verdant
- Williams Esports
- Wolves
Our Managing Director, Sam Cunningham, had this to say on X about the move:
