We’re delighted to announce that Verdant was invited by the chairman, Jeff Simpkins, to join the UK Esports Team Committee (UKETC) in July 2024. Our position as a leading organisation in British Counter-Strike and Northern European League of Legends as well as our eco-conscious mentality brings a unique perspective that the UKETC was looking for.

The UKETC is a collective of UK-based esports teams that have come together to form a not-for-profit committee of like-minded individuals to progress and grow the UK esports industry and represent the voice of teams within wider industry discussions.

The committee is currently made up of 12 organisations:

  • Endpoint
  • Fnatic
  • FUTWIZ
  • GiantX
  • Into The Breach Esports
  • Resolve
  • Manchester City Esports
  • Method
  • Noctem
  • Verdant
  • Williams Esports
  • Wolves

Our Managing Director, Sam Cunningham, had this to say on X about the move:

Very much looking forward to being involved with the UKETC and being able to share experiences in the following areas:

- Grassroots esports
- Environmental impact of esports
- Disability in esports/gaming
